About Primordial Traditions

Primordial Traditions originated in the year 2005, born from a fusion of ideologies such as Tantrism, Buddhism, Alchemy, Philosophy, Mythology and Traditionalism. Key authors who have inspired the Primordial Tradition are Julius Evola, Rene Guenon, Houston Smith, Frithjof Schuon, Friedrich Nietzsche, Carl Jung, Mircea Eliade, Georges Dumezil and Emil Cioran.




The Editor

Gwendolyn Toynton

Gwendolyn is both the editor and founder of Primordial Traditions. She holds a BA (Hons.) in Religious Studies specializing in Traditional Tantra. Gwendolyn also has a strong interest in philosophy, mythology and the esoteric. Outside of her publications for Primordial Traditions, Gwendolyn Toynton has also been published in New Dawn Magazine (Australia), as well as numerous other articles and has a poem in the collection of New Zealand Poetry and Prose 2002.

She is also the assistant editor of Synthesis - Journal du Cercle de la Rose Noire (United Kingdom).

Damon Zacharias Lycourinos

Damon Zacharias Lycourinos has an avid interest and passion for the occult, the Western Esoteric Tradition and mysticism. He holds a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Wales, Lampeter, an MSt in the Study of Religion from the University of Oxford and a PGCE in Religious Education from the University of Cambridge. When not conducting research or writing papers, he can be found indulging in creative writing, meditating or dancing with the Gods. He currently resides in Greece and England.
